Hi Sal
Hope you and Gail are doing well.
Planning to go to wrinkleboat this year?
Been busy building a couple of Welsford wood boats, fun!
Interested with the SageSport, what prices are the prototypes?
Thanks,
Phil Mc

Hi Phil,
Hope you and Mary are well. Gail and I are fine. Just got back from the Annapolis boat show.
Welsford is a great small boat designer. Let us know what you're building? Don't know about Wrinkleboat next year. We didn't go this year, too much going on and the Sportboat wasn't far enough along to test. We've since built 5 protoypes trying to nail down the best layup. 4 are workable. The protos aare going for about $1200 each s opposed to $3700 for the production version.
Best to Mary.

Re: Production SageSport 160 is now for sale
Hi Sal
I'm building the LongSteps in Boise, a 19' camp cruiser, like a stretched SCAMP with a mizzen. It's quite the project, the only other is being built in NZ by John. In Idaho Falls it's the beta version of John Owen's SEI kit. Both are coming along. I just emailed Greg and will be the proud owner of one of the prototypes! Unsure when I am coming out (sometime between tomorrow and Nov 10. If I can get out tomorrow, are you'all in Golden for a bit?
Best to Gail,
Phil

Hi Phil,
Sounds like fun projects. Congrats on the prototype. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Our building project for the past year has been this Sport Boat. A very unique design that deserves the opportunity in the market place. Coming up with the best layup for the Kevlar, carbon fiber, core, etc. has kept us busy. We're using Vinylester resin through-out so I think the boat will be about as good as it can be. Canoes can be easier because they don't go as fast. But when you bring the boat to 15+ MPH, hitting waves, the stiffening required is much different. Robb recommended a maximum of 6 HP.
Best to Mary.
