Solved the rudder cover problem thanks to an inventive canvas working friend. The rudder cover has fiberglass rods on top (the aft edge of the rudder when up) and along the open bottom. The cover is closed at the rudder's bottom edge. The rods give enough weight to keep it in place. The canvas covering the rudder post secures with velcro. The separate tiller cover similarly attaches and secures underneath with flaps designed for the tiller clutch. The two-piece set up is easily installed with the bot in the water.
