Re: Impressive little boat. My first squall.

Thanks Noel for actively sharing your experiences both here and on the trailer sailor forum. You're an excellent ambassador for Sage!

Please save Sage Marine Blog...

Have seen the announcement about the Sage Marine Blog closing... I understand why this might be desired if it's no longer being maintained but I think it would be a shame to lose all the great history and content that is contained there. Are you aware of the ability to convert a blog into a pdf? See...

Thanks Noel - you were smart to think of having Sage do that.

Safety Tether

Noel - on the Trailer Sailor forum you mentioned that you have installed a tether padeye at the foot of your companionway. Can you talk more about how you did this and maybe show a picture?

Thanks!

Re: Sage magnet.

Yes, I'm finding exactly the same thing at my little local reservoir! Takes me twice as long to rig as it should because people keep coming up to me to talk about or comment on the boat. I'm going up to Huntington Lake in the Sierras this weekend which is known for excellent sailing and I'm expectin...

Re: Outboard Motors

Thanks for the YT links - will bookmark those for future reference. Do you have access to ethanol-free gas? I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and there's no station that sells it but that would be the way to go if you can get it (or are willing to pay the price online or at Home Depot for it). Besid...

Re: Outboard Motors

I'm an outboard motor newbie as well so followed the advice of Sage Marine and bought a Honda 2.3 HP long shaft. I know that's what they use and from their postings they've been very reliable and have plenty of power, while being light. The little Honda's are known for being very fuel efficient but ...

Re: Tom Luque’s MastGate

I have a new Sage 15 sloop and mine came with a MastGate - if not that exact product something very similar. I would be surprised if the SageCat is different.

Re: General Questions about S 15 and 17

With Sage Marine owned boats sailing at very high altitude (>9000') and also frequently at sea level do you keep outboards dedicated and jetted to high vs. low altitude? Otherwise isn't the Honda's performance an issue? When I get my S15 I plan to sail at Lake Almanor (4,500') as well as sea level s...

Re: Sage 15 & SageCat electrical

Looks great!

The battery shown above appears to be larger than a U-1 which I understood was the original plan. Is the one in the picture just for the prototype?
