doing something right

Hey Sal et al, You must be doing something right because today I called up Dwyer Mast to talk mast sections and the guy there, out of nowhere, asked me if I'd seen the Sage? I said, "Oh heck, yeah, I've been following them very closely." We agreed that you have a real sweet boat. Anyway, I know it's...

Reefing...that's easy, I'll just wait and see what you do with the S15. I had considered a CF mast for another project, it intrigues the hell out of me. My Hobie AI has a CF mast and a furling main, pretty cool. In my perfect world I'd adapt the furling main to this project, but the four sided sail ...

Why would you want to move the CE aft? It would add weather helm and the 15 is about right as it is. I was having trouble designing a sail shape of 120 sqft that didn't move the CE or have too long a mast, but in the meantime I devised a gunter that I think would work pretty well and be a good comp...

M15 sail plan consequences

Hey Jerry, Obviously this isn't your highest priority but I have a pretty serious interest in adapting some sort of unstayed rig to my rather new M15. Crazy idea but I can't let it go. The direction the S15 is heading is reinforcing this notion. The thing I'm hung up on is that I'd like to move the ...

mechanical advantage

what kind of mechanical advantage would you end up with? The simplicity sounds absolutely brilliant. I remember years of using a very slow electric winch on a lifting keel C&C25, excrutiatingly dull. And not I'm not, desperate to relive those days. Bill ps Can you tell me where the COE is on a standa...

market research

I think of myself as a market of one, but I am far more interested in a cat rig than a sloop. I had a catboat and loved it, shouldn't of sold it. I have a sloop, don't really like it.

Cat rig wedded to a slick hull, now that's interesting!
