Seasons over. Winterizing the S15

First Lake Effect snow of the season. ~20cm. Light by local standards. No frost in the ground. Melting from bottom up, but unseasonable cold for the next few days. Skim ice will form at the marina ramps. No launching allowed if ice of any form is visible.

Winterizing so far has been removing all but a few hard items(anchor,chain,rode,fenders,oar...) from Vela. Quick inspection for any visible interior moisture. Trailer sitting on four jacks just high enough to allow the wheels to spin. Copper “brillo” pads stuffed into the board and hatch gap. Keeps the mice out. If they chew on the copper the ingested slivers kill them. Pumped a bit of grease into the trailer jack.

Anything else that needs to be done?
