Re: The NEW SageSport 160

We're currently at the Paddle Sports show in Oklahoma City. Nice show, nice convention center. It's a fairly new show (2nd year) so it's a bit slow, but growing. Lotsa interesting boats here. The SageSport is unique and it's getting a lot of positive response.

Re: Trailer tongue extension modification?

Hi Noel,

The trailer has to be low enough in the water to clear that extension tip. I think you could mod that 18" - 24" without a problem. Probably would be a good option for us to drill the extra holes.

Re: Lapper jib

Hi Stephen, I will generally prefer the lapper on our S17 because the lapper sheets inside of the shrouds and I find I can point much higher. In really light winds off the wind. The genoa is preferred. Hi Noel, We haven't built many S15 Sloops so our experience is limited. Dave raced the S15 in seve...

Re: 6 knot SOG

Hi Noel, Sounds like a great time. We really enjoy those moments like gifts. Were you single-handing? The correct formula is 1.5 X the square root root of the waterline length. I know it's supposed to be a limitation of the speed of a boat, but I have learned there are sometimes deviations. Planing ...

Re: The NEW SageSport 160

We finished the 5th prototype of the SageSport 160 and it looks like we've found the best layup for the model. Strong, light and tested well. We'll begin making production boats on Monday and get ready for the Paddle Sports show in Oklahoma next month.

Re: Mainsail rigging

Hi Barry, Welcome to our forum and congratulations on your new boat. The tack is held down with the cunningham which cleats next to the jib halyard. The cunningham is also used to adjust the luff tension. Greg was planning on sailing this weekend, we'll see if we can get him to shoot some pics? sal
